Welcome to Dr. Bill’s Lab

Dr. Bill’s Lab focuses on improving patient health through non-invasive, technology-driven approaches. The team combines clinical care with research on neurological, musculoskeletal, and wellness conditions, using tools such as imaging, biometric monitoring, and brain stimulation. By uniting innovation with patient-centered care, the lab works to advance treatments that improve overall health and quality of life.

                           Dr. Kyle Bills, Ph.D.

Establishing a Scoliosis Research Clinic
This project involves establishing systems, procedures, policies, equipment, research strategies, and ultimately
a clinic to research and treat severe adolescent idiopathic scoliosis.  Treatment will be geared toward non-invasive interventions aimed at avoiding surgical intervention.  Care will range from initial patient contact, education, in-person interventions, bracing, home care, and long-term follow-up.  This project will involve research using ultrasound to build 3D models of scoliotic spines, remote biometric monitors to quantify functional deficits and improvements, and EMG recordings to measure nerve function.

Real-time Biometric Monitoring in Health Optimization
In this project, you will be working with patients who are wearing biometric monitoring equipment and analyzing physiological data to set goals with them to improve a variety of health outcomes.  These could include mental health, varied disease states, and general wellness.  Complex correlations between physiological measures and symptomatology will be explored.

Role of a Ketogenic Diet in Neurocognitive Decline and Reactive Hypoglycemia in Chronic Migraine
In this project, you will be working one-on-one with patients to gather neuropsychological and metabolic data and help them begin and maintain a ketogenic diet over the course of three months.  Goals of the project include predictive modeling of glucose phenotypes, how patients will respond to dietary interventions for severe migraine, and enhancement of patient compliance techniques with dietary interventions.

Quantification and Treatment of Anxiety with EEG and TMS
In this project, you will be working one-on-one with patients to visualize and quantify anxiety through electrophysiological readings.  Patients will receive transcranial magnetic stimulation to various parts of the cerebral cortex, with simultaneous real-time EEG streams being visualized and analyzed.
