Retention Rates
Noorda-COM calculated the cohort retention rate by taking the original number of matriculants minus the number of students who withdrew, were dismissed, or transferred out of the original matriculating cohort and divides that number by the original matriculation number of the cohort.
Cohort Retention Rate =((original matriculants) – (student who withdrew, dismissed, transferred out of cohort)) ÷ (original matriculants)
**Transfer students matriculating into an OMS I (first year) class count toward the approved class size. Transfer students entering into the OMS II, III, or IV classes do not count against the approved class size and are not included in the “original matriculation” number.
